Niggemann Food Frischemarkt GmbH, a wholesale supplier of fresh food in Germany, became part of the Transgourmet group and needed to elevate their online presence to provide better customer service. They aimed to create a modern and functional B2B webshop that preserves their unique brand identity while aligning with Transgourmet’s digital strategy.
SOLUTION
A fully functional e-commerce webshop tailored to B2B wholesale requirements. Regular training sessions and hands-on support were provided to enable Niggemann to manage the system independently after its launch. Niggemann Food Frischemarkt is a German company specialising in the wholesale supply of mainly fresh food. With a focus on providing fresh and high-quality products using a dual chamber refrigeration system, their motto is “Nobody can be fresher”.
Niggemann has established itself as a prominent player in the market with a fleet of trucks delivering fresh food across Germany, the core area is the Ruhr region. The company operates as a wholesale distributor, supplying a wide range of fresh food items to restaurants, retailers and other businesses in the foodservice sector.
Niggemann was acquired by Transgourmet in 2018 in order to strengthen its fresh food expertise and to better meet its high customer demand for freshness and quality. The company is committed to excellence, maintaining stringent quality control measures throughout their supply chain to ensure that only the freshest products reach their clients.

A fully functional B2B e-commerce solution
The project centered on creating a robust B2B webshop to support Niggemann’s wholesale operations. Using Drupal as the foundation, the platform was designed to be user-friendly, functional, and fully responsive to modern browsing needs. The design was aligned with Transgourment's overall strategy, while preserving the unique identity of the Niggenmann brand.
